July Fishing Report

July turned out to be a great month for Mahi Mahi! We usually get more Mahi’s in the spring, but this month seems a lot of Mahi was reported with some in the 30lb plus range. Blue Marlin also showed up on schedule with some nice catches reported and a few trips with multiple marlin caught. We also some some nice Ahi (yellowfin tuna) with the largest we heard about on Oahu at 134 lbs. Other species reported this month include a nice amount of Aku (skipjack tuna) and a few striped marlin. Bass guide Tom is out of town this week playing softball (his other passion!) so we don’t have a report from him. He will be back fishing next week.
