May was terrific for Mahi Mahi, with some really nice large ones reported in the 25-30lb range. Boats reported multiple catches on trips throughout the month. We also had some nice Ahi brought in, the largest we know of was 122 lbs. There were also some nice spearfish and a few good sized Blue Marlin. Look for the Blue Marlin and Ahi to increase as we move into the summer months. Mahi Mahi will hopefully continue as well. On Kauai, Tom the bass guide has been catching large and small mouth bass. Not many peacocks in May but those will hopefully start biting as the weather warms up into the summer.
