As expected April was a great month for Mahi Mahi! Spring is usually our best time to catch Mahi’s and they did not disappoint. Boats reported multiple catches, one got 20 of them. Sizes ranged from 15lb to 30lbs. Some nice Striped Marlin where also caught in the 60lb range. Striped Marlin are also usually around during the spring months. Going into May we should continue to see Mahi Mahi as well as the Ono bite which tends to pick up in May. On Kauai Tom has been catching good sized large mouth bass with some around 5lbs. Peacock bass have not been biting yet, they generally bite more in the warmer summer months.
