World Cup Blue Marlin Championship

Tournament Overview:

The  World Cup Blue Marlin Championship is a worldwide, Blue Marlin only, winner take all tournament where anglers fish their home waters and compete against the best anglers and fisheries throughout the globe.  The tournament was founded by Tex Schramm of the Dallas Cowboys.

General Information:

Entry Fee: $1,200 per boat
Qualifying Fish: Blue Marlin in excess of 400lbs
Distribution of Winnings: Winner take all (net after tournament expenses)
Fishing Hours: July 4th 2001, 08:30 to 16:30 local time
Fishing Style: IGFA up to 130lb test
