Kona Classic Fishing Tournament
| The Kona Classic is the first event of the
official fishing competitions making up the Kona Marlin Tournament Series. The
series ends with a Championship Tournament held in December. The Kona Classic is run "Local Style" with 2 fishing days. There is a gathering on Friday evening for team registration and a briefing of the rules, etc. The gathering and the awards party on Sunday night will both be held at the Hawaii Big Game Fishing Club House at Honokohau Harbor. Food and drink will be available at both functions. There will be prize money for the largest Marlin, Ahi, Ono and Mahi Mahi as well as optional entry levels that teams may also enter in addition to these basic categories. |
